This is a big deal because of the length of the application process:
1. Attend the information session
2. Write the 3.5 hour written exam
3. Run the physical (which I trained for months for)
4. Submit a package of paper work that never seems to end. This includes references, job experiences, and everything else under the sun!
5. Go to the selection interview (a 2.5 interview with a man asking you questions out of the blue, expecting you to come up with intelligent answers!)
6. Complete the polygraph (the worst five hours of my life)
In Manitoba the Interview is hard to pass, however, if you are lucky enough... the polygraph stops most of the rest!!! Because of that the background check will be a piece of cake. I have good references and honestly any skeletons hidden in the closet would have come out through the polygraph!!! So YEA!!!
I guess I will keep you all posted!!! I plan to blog while I'm at police college so you can always check up on my blog about DEPOT!!
