So I got it... I got the life altering phone call two days ago! The RCMP phoned and told me I passed my polygraph and am moving on to the background check (the last step in the application process). Now you might be thinking... Wendy common' of course you passed your polygraph... you have nothing to lie about. But it's more extreme than that. They went through all the information that was revealed on the polygraph, reviewed my whole application thus far and then made a decision for me to move on.
This is a big deal because of the length of the application process:
1. Attend the information session
2. Write the 3.5 hour written exam
3. Run the physical (which I trained for months for)
4. Submit a package of paper work that never seems to end. This includes references, job experiences, and everything else under the sun!
5. Go to the selection interview (a 2.5 interview with a man asking you questions out of the blue, expecting you to come up with intelligent answers!)
6. Complete the polygraph (the worst five hours of my life)

In Manitoba the Interview is hard to pass, however, if you are lucky enough... the polygraph stops most of the rest!!! Because of that the background check will be a piece of cake. I have good references and honestly any skeletons hidden in the closet would have come out through the polygraph!!! So YEA!!!

I guess I will keep you all posted!!! I plan to blog while I'm at police college so you can always check up on my blog about DEPOT!!

So I just got back from an amazing trip to Grand Forks... It was so fun! I went with my two sisters Jenn and Steph and my Auntie Angie! It was almost sick how much we laughed!!! There was a point where my stomach hurt and my aunt had to take an Advil because her head hurt! I have honestly not had that much fun in a while!
I did an amazing load of shopping there as well!!! For all of you who know me shopping is the last thing I ever want to do in the world... but for some reason last week I just went nuts! I got some great stuff!!! Oh ya we went to this buffet called the Golden Corral!!! AMAZING!! The guy was cooking my steak in front of me! I was told by my family I was with not to ever go to a buffet on my first date... or go out eating anywhere for that matter!!! I was a little messy hahaha!!
Things have been so good this last week! I have really great friends and have just had fun lately!!! I'm glad for that!!
Basketball season is starting soon... tryouts are at the end of September so I'm pretty stoked about that!! I'm assuming I will be around in Winnipeg for a little while longer than I thought so I decided to coach another year!!! I LOVE basketball!!!
Good bye!

It's kinda funny actually... I usually really dislike days off from work... but then when I'm at work I wish I had a day off. Lately there is no happy medium! Work is going really well! I got a permanent position on the floor that I have had my term on since I moved home in January! The ironic thing is I was the last to choose because I squeaked in with my number of hours, none the less, I got the floor I would have chosen had I had the choice!!! So that is great!! I have guarented full time hours and the pay is half decent for now!!
As many of you know I have had a horribly hard time picking a church that I felt like I could contribute to and actually felt that I was supposed to attend! But as I looked around one church stood out among the rest for a few reasons... The pastor was absoultely great!!! The musicians were outstanding!!! I really feel like I can grow with my talents going there!!! And most importantly my parents attend!! Everytime I attended a service I felt God speaking to me and I loved it!!! So the church is... GRANT MEMORIAL!! I am now a baptist hahaha!!!
I joined the choir there and it is great!!! I have grown up since I was five singing in choirs all the way to when I was eighteen!!! But now I am singing again!!! I love reading the music... I love helping and joining in with the sopranos, working together... and I love the people I have already met with such a common interest!!! Oh and the best part is I stand by my mom and for all of you who have sung with her or heard her sing... you have no choice but to sing your best when you are beside her!!! We love that time together!!
The musicians that attend the church are just amazing!! Alot of them have degrees in either singing or some sort of instrument... I can't wait to start joining in with them!! Mix talent with God and you have some powerful worship!!
Well I guess that's all!!!

Well it's been a very busy few weeks!! Susan came to Winnipeg last Wednesday and we hung out... We went to the Justin Timberlake concert (which was very nice)!!! I then went to Saskatoon for a few days to visit some youth girls, old friends and that was great too!!! Then I flew home which was amazing because it only took me one hour not like my nine hour car ride there!!!
Now i"m back to work and that's going alright... I'm going to go for a 8 km run today... but I want to do it in Saskatoon. I wish I was rich because I wouly fly to Saskatoon on my days off and run along the river... It would honestly be worth all that money!!! I promise it would! Here in Winnipeg it's just not as nice... Saskatoon is just sooo BEAUTIFUL!!! I run so fast and go even longer than usual without listening to music... that is how nice it is!!!
Oh Well!!!
