Going Nowhere Familiar

It's hard to Sore like an Eagle, When you are Working with Turkeys.

Well it's Wednesday... better known to some as "hump day"... for no other reason than it being the middle of the week! Some people laugh but common it's reality... it's the middle of the week... for me it's Monday because I just started another run of days at work.
Work was great today. I felt great because I went wall climbing last night. I woke up sore and I would have it no other way. My arms felt like noodles and I had a hard time squirting my cleaning product... apparently the part inbetween your elbows and wrists is the part that hurt the most after wall climbing. At the end of my shift one of my favorite old men asked me to take him outside for a walk. I was so excited to... we walked around and I showed him the back courtyard. He is so cute!
Hmmm... I guess that is all for now!!!

Wow... the middle of April, I can barely believe it! Next time I stop to take a look at the date I will probably be 35 years old with 3 lovely children and a seriously gorgeous husband!!!

My trip to Carman was even better than I expected!! A friend I hadn't really talked to in about two years had a word for me in pretty much the middle of the Church service!! It went along the lines of "Stop doing it on your own and follow God because you are never going to make it at the rate you are going". Or at least that is what I got from it!!! This person doesn't really know in full the situation I am dealing with so I was taken quite back. Almost punched in the face with the truth!!! But after hanging out with those amazing Carman people it feels like the life paddles brought me back and recharged me for another week!!! I can't wait until I go back there again!!

There is an amazing sale right now at Sport Check. My feet have never been happier!!! I bought a pair of $90 shoes for $30 and they are absolutely amazing to wear. They are also the most beautiful shoes I could ever get!!! I also got a Puma Jacket for $40 and then I got another sports Jacket which happens to be an Adidas one for FREE!!! WHAT!!! YES I did say for FREE!!!!

I guess that is all for now!!! Part of me wants to go to the gym while the other part wants to sit my lazy butt down on the couch and watch Hotel Rawanda... Ummmm... I am very undecided!!!

I love Spring... Today I went for a BBQ to my grandparents house. It was so much fun. When I first got there I was watching migets play soccer on the tv with my grandpa which was funny in so many different ways. Then I yelled at my grandma's dog with her for barking. She always says, "if you don't stop barking I'm going to send you to the farm... do you know what they do to dogs at the farm??? THEY SHOOT THEM!" So that was funny too!!!
Work has been so stressful lately but today was the most meaningful day I had there. I have built so many strong connections with these old people. I technically live with them day in and day out. We laugh together, we cry together. Today I had to sit and hold the hand of one because she was sick and afraid she was going to die. This isn't part of my job in any means but it's the part of the job I love the most.
Another man was asked today by the nurse if she should "Double the batch" (she was talking about his laxatives). He is quite deaf and thought the nurse asked him if he wanted a bubble bath! We laughed so hard we could barely breathe!!!
Spring gives me this new refreshing outlook on life. I love Spring and I can barely wait for summer!!! I'm am going to Carman tomorrow to play basketball with my balla friends!!! That is honestly one of my favorite things to do... those Carman people really know how to party it up!!!

I am PUMPED today. I worked out at the gym for just under 2 and a half hours. I felt great! I went for a two mile run, I don't just jog... I run. Today I almost ran my two miles in my normal time of fiftenn minutes, unfortunately due to a severe problem of taking two weeks off I finished in 16 minutes. I then jumped onto the Cross trainer and did another 25 minutes. Following that I had a great game of twenty one with some good company finishing off with a Power class that lasted an hour. Shoot I feel like I could run another few miles. Today was supposed to be my rest day. So that isn't a good thing because when I'm back on my normal schedule tomorrow I'll be so tired and be dragging my butt around...
I am working so hard because I want to become a police officer. Everyday that goes by the passion grows stronger and I get more excited. I'm not sure if I'll be one right away because it's usually a long process and I'm still pretty young... None the less, NO EXCUSES... I will try my hardest until I get in!!! It all starts with that darn 100 pound bag!!!
Keep fit and have fun!!!
Love you all

Okay so there is something that I forgot to add in my last post... This is the new love of my life Stella. Today I caught myself singing "you are my sunshine, my only sunshine..." as I was washing her at the gas station. I cleaned her inside and out today and added an air freshener called Savanah heat. Yes I am aware this could be the name of a stripper but no it's not... it's just my airfreshener.

I wouldn't say Stella is one of a kind however she is definately a beauty. I say this because my parents have bought the exact same car in blue. She comes fully loaded with a sweet sunroof (which will come in handy on those beach days in summer) and tinted windows (no not so I can pull some hanky panky in the back seat... solely for the "cool" look).

Yes you could say I am in love. It is evident everytime I get in and out I can't wipe the dumb grin off my face and my favorite part of my day is driving to work in the morning. Just Stella and I on the road at 5:30 am!!! Our favorite stop together is Tim Hortons. It is then we have our best laughs together!!!

Some may feel sad that my bad to the bone white swift is gone... don't worry, the memory will live on forever. I drove her to the car dealership to get a trade in. She was blowing blue smoke so badly I had to drive with the window open. She did me well for the three and a half years I had her, but as we all know all good things must come to an end!!! Out with the old and in with the new!!!

For all of you who thought I have fallen off the face of the Earth… I haven’t… I just decided it was too much effort to get a new account with Yahoo in order to log on… when in reality when I actually sat down and seriously attempted to do it, I was surprised to see it only took about three minutes! So here I am…

I guess updates are in order.

Basketball!!!
My girls did amazing this year. I can’t even begin to say how great of a year we had as a team. The girls were amazing and the basketball was pretty intense. We finished off first in our division followed by an exciting shot at winning provincials. We finished third in the province and although we lost to the first place team in the semi-finals we were proud that we made it to the final four! I am going to miss the girls very much. I’m not sure if another team will come around like this again for a while, it was amazing!

Work!!!
I am still at the nursing home. A lady left for stress leave so I stepped into her position. This gives me full time hours and I love it! I work with twenty old people whom I love to death. When you work at a nursing home on a regular basis you see the people live and help them, you see their up days and down days. My goal is to make their lives great for the rest of the time they have on earth. There have been a lot of challenges with the people I work with, but at the end of the day I remember who I’m there for and the difference I know I’m making where I am and all my problems are justified.

I don’t do a lot of other stuff outside of work and the occasional gathering with friends. I do watch a lot of movies and find that really enjoyable. Monday I start my intense training to prepare for the physical test I have to run for the Police College! I’m pretty excited to start this again and know life is just all around better when I can run and be fit!
I guess that is it!! I honestly thought this blog would be better than it is, but who knows tomorrow I might have something amazing happen to me and it will make up for this update of my somewhat uneventful life!!!
